Largest Bowl of Macaroni And Cheese - world record set by Chef John

NEW ORLEANS, LA, USA -- Chef and authorJohn Folse has cooked about 2,469 pounds (that's 6,500 servings) of mac and cheese - setting the new world record for the Largest Bowl of Macaroni And Cheese.
The recipe: 660 pounds of macaroni, 102 pounds of Cabot Creamery Monterey Jack, 186 pounds of Cabot Creamery White Cheddar, 56 pounds of Cabot Creamery butter, 26 pounds of King Arthur flour, 1,100 pounds of Brown's Dairy whole milk, 61 pounds of dry seasoning, and of course, plenty of salt, cayenne pepper and garlic, to taste.

The endeavor also doubled as a charity event, raising funds for the New Orleans AreaHabitat for Humanity.
All proceeds -- $5 a bowl -- will go towards the organization.

The hand-painted, ceramic bowls used to serve the record-setting dish were donated by The Magnolia School, a non-profit aiding disabled adults in the area. Vermont's Cabot Creamery provided the cheese and King Arthur Flour the flour.

The record was organized by Cabot Creamery Cooperative, a Vermont-based company producing natural dairy products, including a wide array of cheeses.

The previous Guinness World record for the
Largest Bowl of Macaroni And Cheese was 414 pounds.
