For the benefit of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International, nearly 2,000 people went round and round and up and down dancing twist setting the newworld record for the Largest dance party.
Over the past four years, Sydney and Mackenzie Cohn, Philadelphia sisters have raised over a million dollars for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International and were diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 7, co-chaired the twist-off.
We're so happy so many people turned out to dance with us and to learn about the importance of research into our disease," said Sydney Cohn, age 11. "We had so much fun," said Mackenzie Cohn, age 9. "The twist is really cool!"
The Guinness world record for for the longest dance party was achieved by Unique Events Limited (Ireland) with 40 dancers, 31 of which completed the marathon after 55 hours, at the Quay Front, Wexford, Ireland.
