LOS ANGELES: One-hundred ultimate "24" fans will get the opportunity to set a Guinness World Record starting Thursday evening.
Since Thursday, the 100 marathoners have been inside a custom home theater where they're watching episodes of 24 -- which ended its run in May after eight seasons -- with the goal of snapping the Guinness World Record for longest consecutive TV viewing, currently 86 hours. Whichever fan watches the most hours will receive $10,000.
The event also has props from 24 on display.
The current record belongs to Netherlands resident Efraïm van Oeveren who watched TV for 86 continuous hours.
